Max Sparshatt executed a perfect hat trick with a header from a first half corner followed by a left foot and right foot strike in the second half against Epsom Falcons. Falcons came into this final home game of the season one place ahead of the Lions in 3rd place and had scored in every one of their 24 league and cup games this Season. Falcons are also cup finalists next week and the Lions victory was made even more special in the Saturday morning heat as they only had 11 available players available.

Every player gave a faultless performance from first to last minute with some exceptional individual performances from front to back. We had a run of poor games after a drop-in confidence and to pull off a 3-0 home win against the cup finalists in our last home game, makes it all worthwhile and just reward for not giving up at the end of the season.

Lions should now hold onto 4th place in the league and have already achieved a cup semi-final once again.
